27 SUNDAY - AUGUST 1972
THIRTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY - 240TH DAY - 126 DAYS TO COME

Working on UP THE ORGANIZATION. In evening played with BB, Dana, Dale, and Phil. Used a small board I sketched on 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 and improvised some rules as a I went along. Not bad.

BB finished typing the S&T and BOOK WORLD columns. Dale read them both and had a few corrections before the typing.

In TIMES Doubleday had a book ad, including AGOG - by Sid Jackson. Also an ad for MUNICH DECATHLON. (Both filed in 1972 misc.)

WILD WOOD PILE, WHAT'S IT WORTH IN DOLLARS? and GIRL TALK (by Lilian Voeglin), LOG JAM, SHOW BUSINESS, TRIAD, GOLD (Felicia called it THE MONEY GAME) (Bob Gellman gave her a letter of intent on this and she told Merholz about it), BALLS & CHAINS, ASK IT, QUICKSAND, BEAT POLLUTION, FREEDOM.

She showed him some of Al Richter's things with no success. An associate of Merholz' will be in sometime in the future to look at more things.

SKYSCRAPERS is being returned under separate cover. Since their plans for PROFIT are completely undetermined, we can have it back if we ask. They are very enthusiastic over IMAGE.

She rcd. a letter from 3M's account in answer to her complaint about the royalties going all to me. He'll take care of it.

She rcd. a letter from Bob Johnson. DUEL is definitely "in the hopper." It is still Jim Goldsberry's favorite and is becoming his. They are so busy getting things ready now that they aren't looking at anything new for awhile.

We discussed what to do about PROFIT and decided that, since American Greetings works from rules, I will get a copy of the rules and a description of the cards and she'll send it to him. He seemed interested in a stock market game altho, Felicia says, they are all bombing. I mentioned WHAT'S IT WORTH TO YOU and I'll also prepare similar material on it to send to American Greetings. I'll also try and get THE BRAIN GAME ready as soon as possible to submit to them.

Herb Hochstetter called. He'd like to get together with
