Rcd. a post card from Mike Abrams about BLOCK 'N SCORE.

Rcd. a call
Rcd. a call from Wald Amberstone. Ned Strongin was approached by a
company for material that he doesn't have time to supply.
The manufacturer is interested in NYGA as a group to do the
work. Wald asked and I said I'd be interested in hearing the
proposition.
Wald called me later after hearing from the company. It
is HASBRO and the man in charge is Dr. Howard Wexler (who
I met at Pressman last year). We have a meeting set up for
Friday at 2:00 p.m. at 909 - 3rd Ave., 30th floor (which I later
discovered was the office of Benton & Bowles).
Arthur called. He is afraid that Claude intends to bring some
games to show Friday. I said that if they couldn't convince
him not to, I would.
Told Arthur about the meeting here Friday. Invited him
and Wald and said that I hadn't invited them before because
they had told me that they couldn't make it here.
I asked how their games with Strongin were doing. Arthur
said that HASBRO is considering COUNTERBALANCE and that some
others are also close.
Call from Wald. He'll probably come Friday, but not Arthur.
Claude was convinced not to bring games Friday.
Long call from Claude. He wanted to go over all the possibilities of
what might happen Friday. I wanted to wait until we found out
what is involved before making decisions.

Called Bob Gellman and got the answering service again. Called
Bob Schneider collect. Told him that I was pretty close to completion
on SCOTLAND YARD and whether I should go ahead. Yes.
Only the art work on the box is completed so I can do what I
want on the board.
Bob said he'd prepare a contract for the game with a
$500 advance and, after I brought it up, a 3% royalty as he
first mentioned on the phone.
He would like me to prepare a game, WHEELS, to go with a
deck of 52 (or 54) cards with pictures of vintage cars. If
I want he can add printed material to the pictures that are
already color separated.
I asked and he said that Bob Gellman was on a sales trip
