card, but not the "Question" card. The players throw 2 dice and
have choice of either or sum. 9 spaces on board represent the
9 criminals. When a player lands on one he picks one of the
chacteristics of that criminal and each other player must say
whether their case card has that characteristic. All can hear.
Another idea about "Question" cards. These are also face up and
when a player lands he takes it and one that he has in his hand
and uses one of the two. The other players can sometimes make
inferences from this.
Tried again to get Bob Gellman, including his home at night. He is
out of town.

Finished the letter to GAMES & PUZZLES, but BB in typing it had
objections and I was too tired at 1:30 to make changes.

Wrote to Bill Rawlings. Mentioned COMPROMISE,
NOUVEAUX JEUX D'ECHECS INTERESSANTS, ECHECS AU COMPROMIS. Gave
him an idea for a CRISS-CROSS topic. Asked him to see his
PROXIMITY CHESS and offered to PBM this or any game
from AGOG, with a preference for FOCUS.

Started a letter to Don Turnbull.

his edge. Markers remaining on a single space are
payed off 1 to 1. Those on 2 spaces - 3 to 1. Those on
four spaces 15 to 1. Those on 5 spaces - 31 to 1. A
player with a ber remaining on a single space may allow
that bet to ride. 5 more cards are dealt (making 24).
If the player wins he can collect 3 to 1 or let it
ride for another 6 cards. If he wins he can collect
5 to 1 or let it ride for anothr 3 cards (making 33). If
he wins he can collect 11 to 1 or let it ride for another 2
cards. If he wins this he collects 35 to 1.
If after the first 19 cards are layed out no bets
