28 SUNDAY - MAY 1972
TRINITY SUNDAY - 149TH DAY - 217 DAYS TO COME
Working, or rather, playing, with PAIR OFF. Had a lot of trouble
finding the necessary switch for solving the solitaire I gave
to Bob Johnson. Finally found it. BB tried and wasn't able.
Claude called. He was going to cover over an old board for his new
FAR AWAY PLACES game and asked if I had a copy of
A GAME ABOUT THE UNITED NATIONS. Yes. He also asked about TRI-KING.
Yes. AS THE WORLD TURNS. Don't, but have notes in 1966 diary.
(cont. from 5/29) [5/31]
Got talking to Red about templates and he showed me a catalog
from Art Brown - 2 W. 46th St. Two that will be useful
are #144216 ($2.75) Chemical Ring, and #143907 ($1.75) Operation
and Flow Process.
Red was fascinated by my description of ORION and asked if
I could get a copy for him. Told him I'd try.
Spoke to Al Nofi about the INTERNATIONAL GAME SHOW. He was sent
the material that I have and sent them my name. He doesn't
know anything further. One of the people listed as a speaker does
not have a good reputation he says.
Jim showed me issue #1 of the magazine CONFLICT. It is
definitely imitative of S & T in its format.
Copied some pages with variants of JUTLAND. Also copied all the
material except the counters for a complete game
GUERRE A OUTRANCE.
To the apartment where Chuck Daugherty is visiting. His background is
in radio and TV, having been a disc jockey as well as a producer of
TV shows.
