To Stationery Show. In "Highlights" magazine took out the
following clippings : - WOMAN & MAN, NEWTOWN, PILGRIM PUZZLE, and
some colored pictures for possible use in models.
To 3M. Spoke to Jim Kraus (who now has his hair very mod).
The gamettes are not doing very well. However even if they are dropped
SLEUTH & EVADE, which are doing the best, and also VENTURE and
FOIL will be kept in some form. I mentioned that the price is
too high and that $3.98 would probably be much better. They are
allowing discounting of the gamettes in Colorado to see what happens.
Took picture of their new display rack for Gamettes.
Took sheet for POINT OF LAW; BID & BLUFF (which Jim confirmed was
played like OH HELL, but includes a board); CHALLENGE BRIDGE which
gives 100 hands of duplicate play. A perporated perforated
card, one for each hand (or possibly one can be used for more
than one hand), matches with markings on the backs of the
playing cards to indicate to whom they are dealt. The sheet also includes
""The Best of '71" and shows, among others, SLEUTH,
VENTURE, ACQUIRE, and EXECUTIVE DECISION.
They are coming out during the summer with an action type
puzzle called MASTER MAZE which is something like ON GUARD
(see 1968). He is interested in seeing SKYSCRAPERS and I'll
bring it tomorrow. Jim suggested that I look at Mag-Nif to get
an idea of the sort of thing they'd like.
To Stancraft. Norton Cross not there yet and Mary Hilt not coming
in. Spoke to someone else who asked if I had received
royalty reports on TRANSFORMATION. Yes, but I didn't
understand why I didn't get money for TEMPO, INTERPLAY, and
ODD OR EVEN. (Later met Tom Atwater and he cleared it up.)
