A scenic designer brought Felicia a game
A scenic designer brought Felicia a game called URBAN RENEWAL by Neil Edwards which
she likes. She told him she'd show it to me. She was given
two sets of the rules and she'd show it to me (but may ask for it
back). The rules are fairly self explanitory [explanatory] except that
they don't give the interesting spread of parcel prices,
building costs (which may be given in terms of a total
parcel or per lot), and rentals. The central streets give a
player a chance to get property, <s>The</s> and at each intersection
he can draw a "City Life" card if he lands. The perimeter
parkway has spaces for demolition, zoning, building, and
collecting rent. (Fairly complete idea.)
Felicia doesn't have the definite info yet but is afraid that 3M
will be dropping the Gamette line. She said I should always push ACQUIRE
first, and then EXECUTIVE DECISION. If they do drop the
Gamettes she'll try to talk them into keeping HIGH BID in the Bookshelf
and also to put SLEUTH in, altho that will necessitate more components.
Someone who works for NBC has a game SIJJEH (which has something
to do, but is not necessarily completely, with Israel) being
considered by 3M and they said he'd have an answer in 90 days. He wants
her to take it over but she told him to wait for the answer.
