21 FRIDAY - APRIL 1972
112TH DAY - 254 DAYS TO COME
Rcd. THE GAMESLETTER (#33 & #34 Vol. 8). In #34 Don Miller
mentions some magazines from Belgium. One has a
game LE JEU DU LIESNARD BELLIQUEUX (Liesnard being the name
of the inventor). He, Don, says it looks interesting and he
would like it translated.
In #34 he mentioned my BOOK WORLD column.
Called Jack Davis and told him about the Xerox exhibit. He
may contact Ch. 13 to see if he can buy an aural tape of
my segment on the Louise show. I'll bring down any clippings
I get for him to make repros. He'll send these to 3M
with a yearly report in June. He'll remind them again
about all my help in publicizing 3M games.
We talked about POINT OF LAW and he and Audrey agree with
me that it is really not a game, and is very overpriced for
what is included.
Called Jim Dunnigan. Wanted to talk to him about "Simulations
Design Corp.", CONFLICT, etc. (see 4/14). Not in. Left word for
him to call but he didn't.
Felicia called. She rcd. a letter from Bill Dohrmann. They
have held on to Lillian Voegelin's FOUR LETTER WORDS with
the idea of making up a model themselves. But things are
so hectic that they can't do it. They'd like to try it if
Lillian or Felicia will prepare a model. I suggested Al Richter
and Felicia had already thought of it. They will suggest supplying
Al with the materials and then giving him a cut of the
royalties for his labor. I'll tell him about it tonight and Felicia will call
nim after she talks to Lillian.
Bill is sending back Lillian's GIRL TALK. He thinks it is a very
strong item but
