20 THURSDAY - APRIL 1972
111TH DAY - 255 DAYS TO COME
Brought box of games and parts to lobby after Bernie called
me. Put it in his car and then had breakfast in hotel.
To exhibit. Carol, the receptionist, showed us an article in
the DEMOCRAT AND CHRONICLE and I bought a copy later.
Made a layout of the display I set up of the following

SCRABBLE (Russian), BALI, WFF 'N PROOF, CONFIGURATIONS, AVALANCHE,
TRAP, MANCALA, HAAR HOOLIM PERCEPTION GAMES, DRUG ATTACK,
THE CITIES GAME, WOMEN'S LIB?, THE GREAT DOWNHILL SKI GAME, HAPPINESS,
SEDUCTION, ETHICS, WINE CELLAR, MASTERPIECE, MONOPOLY, MATCHMAKER,
ARCHIE BUNKER'S CARD GAME, ACQUIRE, SLEUTH, VECTOR, MARIENBAD, CARAPACE,
ECOLOGY, NEW TOWN, BLACKS & WHITES GAME, SOCIETY TODAY, PURE GREED,

Games brought to Rochester but not used : - RSVP, ON SETS, CLASS,
20TH CENTURY TAROT, STRATEGO, CONFRONTATION, KRYPTO,
HE-SHE-HIM-HER, NAPOLEON AT WATERLOO.
Gave Bernie a signed copy of AGOG.
Went to Genesee Book Store, a dealer in used books. Bought
an 1837 book FIVE HUNDRED CHARADES for $2.00.
Couldn't remember what I had asked Mary McKee to send me. Called
her. It was contact prints of the pictures. She just got them
in her office but I had to catch the plane. She'll send me a
copy, alsocopies of any clippings, and the press kit. It will
take a few weeks.
Bob Hallowell called, just before I got home. Said that he loved the p. & p.
games - especially HEXOWORD. I called and got Jean. Bob
was in city. Told her that ORBITs reached Rochester in time.
Felicia called before I got home and I called back. She has been trying
to contact Bob Gellman about HOLIDAY, without success.
She is going crazy trying to get an answer from Jim Kraus. She is
preparing another letter. I mentioned PROFIT and she will ask
about this in the letter; not too pointedly since I pointed out
that there isn't much chance of placing it elsewhere.
She rcd. a carbon of the letter from Kathy Brooks rejecting
FOREIGN INTRIGUE. We discussed showing it elsewhere, with no
conclusions. J'ACCUSE was also rejected - "too much like".
A fellow was in with a GAME based on progressions which
Felicia didn't like at all. He had a gambling game called
TAK-A-CHANCE which she did like. However he was paranoid
about having something stolen and made Felicia sign a paper saying
that she had seen the games. He and a partner have made
up a lot of games, but Felicia doubts if she'll see him again.
At first she was going to keep the rules for TAK-A-CHANCE
to show me but then decided against it. I said that I didn't
want to look at anything if the inventor would object.
