Rcd. a call from George Simor who is working on an article for
DER SPIEGEL. He got my name fron Nan Dimblick of G. & R.
Spoke to him for about half an hour. Asked him when the
article would come out. He is not sure, but soon. Asked him
for a tear sheet and he said he'll send one. To be safe I took
his number:
{George Simor (DER SPIEGEL)
{[personal phone omitted for privacy]
Called Richard Shuster (see 3/26). Arranged to pick up a copy
of ECCENTRIC at his office - D.K.G., 38th Floor, Time-Life
Bldg. (50th & 6th Ave.) - tomorrow morning. He <s>described it</s> said
it was based on deduction and I mentioned that I had
etc. There is a deck of price cards. There is a board
with spaces corresponding to the various types of junk
and also a "junkyard" space. Players are dealt a certain
number of cards at the start and given money. They move
around the board by dice throw. When land on a junk space
they draw a price card. If willing to pay that price they
take the corresponding card. If not (I think) other players
have the opportunity. When in the "junkyard" players can
lay down pairs of various types of junk. These can be
built on as the game goes along, and when 4 or 6 play there
are partners who build on the same pairs. four of a kind
