9 SUNDAY - APRIL 1972
FIRST SUNDAY AFTER EASTER - 100TH DAY - 266 DAYS TO COME
Wrote rules for ROPE TARGET TOSS.
Called Bernie Lane. Asked him if it would be all right for
Alfons Rubbens to come to the press party. Yes.
Spoke about the diagram for CONNECTION and we agreed
that I would do a finished drawing that they could mount.
Drew it up and mailed it and rules to Bernie.
Spoke about thebill and agreed that I'll send the one
for bean bags and rope today. (Did.) I'll bring the one
for my services with me to Rochester. I asked Bernie,
since I was going to be working there for two days whether
I could get more money. Bernie said he'd check with John Rasor.
Dad set up a pretty large layout for Russian SCRABBLE.

[Diagram of a 4 x 4 square grid. Each square populated with 4 circles arranged diagonally within.]
In evening drew up a sheet with a layout for TOPOGRAPHY,
or preferably CONTOURS (see 4/5) and the other p. and p.
Solitaire GAME (see 4/2).
Made a copy of the NEW TOWN board in
case I don't get a replacement.
(cont. from 4/11) [4/12]
completes a set and getting the fifth doubles its value.
There are also wild cards which can be used instead of
any type of junk and also can be collected in sets. When
a player or a team gets two sets completed they can go out
(how exactly?). Players score for cards they have on the
table, individual for each card, and additional bonus
depending on the type of junk for a completing a set. Also
bonus for going out. Cards still in hand count against the
player or team. (Rough idea.)
Stopped in at Herb Roth's to tell him that I received all
the games from Dynamic Design. Apologized for not
contacting him myself, instead of telling Felicia.
Felicia had mentioned another 4 games coming out by
Dynamic Design but Herb said the only one new to me is BEAT DETROIT.
Herb said that Dynamic is still behind 3M in sales but that
they might catch up.
Incidentally when I told Felicia about what Dorothy Shapiro
said about the Gamettes. Felicia agrees that Dick Littlefield
is now working hard. But Dorothy says that EXECUTIVE DECISION
is not moving as well as they hoped.
