7 FRIDAY - APRIL 1972
98TH DAY - 268 DAYS TO COME

Thinking about my new approach to DATA. Have 2 decks; one a
triple deck of "Address" cards and the other 63 "Sorting"
cards, 10 of each except 11 of the one that was South America
and 12 of the one that was Australia. Each player starts with
3 from each deck. Must use at least one from each in each
turn and then draw 2 from each. Set maximum, say 16,
cards in hand after turn. Object to be first to sort each
card. Possibly give bonuses for completing a column or a
row first. Allow trading of "sorting" cards. (Rough idea
to be tried.)

Frank Armbruster called. He is going to see the head of Santa Clara
University about taking my collection as a continuing
section of their library. Wanted to make sure I hadn't made
other arrangements.
He is assigning AGOG as required reading for his class.
Told him I had to send Castle Book's address but he said
the University Book Store could get it.
He rcd. the POTENTIAL rules and sent a letter on it.
Told him I was progressing with a TANGRAMS game and he'd
like it ASAP.

Playing a few games of CONNECTION (HEX) with myself
preparatory to writing the rules.

Wald Amberstone called. He has a friend who would like a
copy of ACQUIRE but can't afford the price.
