5 WEDNESDAY - APRIL 1972
96TH DAY - 270 DAYS TO COME

Al Richter called to check on our date, whether it was for Friday or for Saturday? Friday. He hasn't been doing much with games. Instead he is trying to make models on contract. No luck yet.

Played around with TOPOGRAPHY. Set up 18 dominos by throwing 2 dice 18 times. Then try and set them into a 6 x 6 layout so that each square is next every square can be joined by connecting two squares that are either the same number or 1 number from each other - orthogonally only. No diagonal. Also working on some more difficult conditions.
BB working on bean bags & bought a 100 ft length of rope to make 24 - 4 ft. ropes for ROPE TARGET TOSS. The rope was short and I only got 23. Made 12 black and 11 red.

Finished letter to ACQUIRE players (see 4/1). Wrote to Karen Kelley.

Rcd. [received] a call from Les Zenna, who is a cousin and is in business with Bob Oxhandler. They have a display that they set up in college stores called "The Campus Scene Merchandiser." He wanted to know if 3M would be interested in advertising my games. Gave him Jack Davis' number to have him give the proper party at St. Paul to contact.

Wrote to Keith Tuggle thanking him for the games he sent. Told him that PEG-A-LINE was the only one completely new to me.

Wrote to Inter Continental Features (see 3/17) who wrote to me originally thru BOOK WORLD. Told them about AGOG, S & T, Parker Brothers, & Dynamic Design Industries.

Started going over the games I collected for the Xerox Ex.

Spoke to Phil Orbanes. He spoke to Bill Knox's secretary and she said she'd send back HOLEY TERROR and Phil's two puzzles. Didn't get it yet. Also no word on GROOVE. Phil will try to contact him again.
Phil had a royalty report on NINE OF SWORDS - $96.90. Took a copy with me.
Got a copy of S & T #31. Also a copy of the Jan. - June '72 [1972] catalog. Made copies of my column in #30 and #31.
