16 THURSDAY - MARCH 1972 78TH DAY - 290 DAYS TO COME

To Ideal Toy in Jamaica Queens for meeting with Jules Cooper.
Charlie Light (spelling?) who used to be with E.S. Lowe
was there. Charlie recognized me as the author of
a book (AGOG). Discussed the Ideal line. They were
both very enthused about THE BOSS. Altho it is a lot luck it
is very emotionally involving. DEAR ABBY consists of 60
letters with 3 different answers for each. Players in turn
read one and then the others decide which answer
they will give and mark it secretly. Score for guessing, and for
fooling. BATTLEBOARD has holes lined up with passages.
When the bellows (see catalog) is depressed if an opponent
is in proper hole it is blown up and captured. Objects is
to get two men to the wall. If a king reaches the
wall a captured knight is returned. A man at the wall
can also be captured.
AUCTIONEER, THE BOSS, and DEAR ABBY are not in production
yet. When they are Jules will send me copies for review in
S & T. (He'd like to see a copy and I promised to send him one.)
For the Xerox exhibit he's sending me REBOUND, CRISS CROSS
LOGUS SR., and TRAP. Also he'll send me a review
copy of TRAP.
Discussed GO and I said that the white player was given an
advantage with a 1/2 stone included so that a tie was impossible.
Jules said no. I said I'd look it up.
Jules said that his war GAME was the best ever and someday,
