FOURTH SUNDAY IN LENT - 72ND DAY - 294 DAYS TO COME
Wrote up most of the rules for MASTERPIECE.
A Japanese girl, Sharon, that Dana had visiting told me she had played BEZANT.

that I call Marshall. Told him I would.
We spoke about the p & p games. He said he liked them all
except COLD WAR which they found to be rather slow.
Called Marshall Lucas, on another line and he called me back later.
The new line he is in charge of is intended for sale in stationery
dept's., like the 3M line. His prior experience was on licensing
and he said he knows a little about games. He is interested in items
that people that will buy as gift items and likes the 3M
packaging - but he won't imitate it. Told him a little about SKYSCRAPERS and
he thought it might be what he wants - called it a "brain-teaser".
Would like to get together with me. I suggested his coming
here, even tho I didn't have much finished models around. He
said he'd like to. He'll call me at the end of the week to set
up a date for next week.
I mentioned that Felicia Parker was my agent and he said that
he intended to get in touch with her.
I asked about SUMMIT and the other games in that line. He
said that they were now under his control, altho he wasn't too
specific. He did say that the packaging was very ordinary.
Called Jules Cooper. Out of town and I left word for him to
call me.
Wrote the rules for DRILL FOR OIL and sent it to Bob Hallowell
together with a letter giving the shipping info for ORBIT and
thanking him for NINE OF SWORDS.
Rcd. a letter from Alfons Rubbens thanking me for accepting
4000 A.D. and CHESSWORD in the Xerox exhibit. Samples of
these and SPECULATE are being sent on March 13th.
He spoke to Jim Dunnigan. He'd like a copy of S & T sent to
Waddington.
He wants to know when I'll be in Rochester so that he can come
that day.
He enclosed a "House of Games" Newsletter and a reprint
from VOLUME RETAIL MERCHANDISING on adult games, written
by Earl Doherty.

Called Earl Perel. maybe we'll have an NYGA meeting there next
week. He wrote to Nixon about THE AMERICAN WAY, but
decided not to mention me.
