Packages came
Packages came from A.H. [Avalon Hill] - <u>ORIGINS OF WORLD WAR II</u> and
<u>GETTYSBURG</u> - and from Urban Systems - <u>ECOLOGY</u> and <u>THE GODFATHER GAME</u>
which is now packed in a regular box instead of the violin
case.

supper. Claude brought me a little book translated from the
French, ''<u>300 NEW GAMES AND AMUSEMENTS</u>''. Also a clipping from
''<u>LONG ISLAND PRESS</u>'' (2/23) about <u>GLOBAL CHESS</u>, also called
<u>SPHERICAL CHESS</u> and <u>INFINITE CHESS</u>. It mentions two other games
by <u>Peter Yaspan</u> - <u>COLORABLE</u> (a <u>SCRABBLE</u> version using colors
instead of words) and <u>THREE-DIMENSIONAL SPHERICAL TIC-TAC-TOE</u>.

Lloyd was able to do <u>NINE OF SWORDS</u> after I gave him <s>an</s> the
letter and visual hints. Maryellen worked on <u>SKYSCRAPERS</u>
but wasn't able to do it. Claude didn't bring a copy of
<u>GENIUS BLOCKS</u> and I brought out the set he once gave me.
Phil & Dale worked on it without success.  <br>
I gave Lloyd a Castle copy of <u>AGOG</u> and one to Claude, who
said he wanted one that he'd feel free to mark up. <br>
<u>Earl Perel</u> called while they were here. He said he wanted
to send President Nixon a copy of <u>THE AMERICAN WAY</u>, since
it was based on the play of the Chinese <u>GO</u>. He asked if
he could mention my name. I said O.K., although I couldn't
see what good it would do.  <br>
Then Earl spoke to Claude for a while.
 
In meeting with <u>Bernie Lane</u> he mentioned that there would be a
TV program on April 19th. I may go up on the 18th and come  <br>
