4 SATURDAY - MARCH 1972
84TH DAY - 302 DAYS TO COME

BOOK WORLD forwarded a letter from an Australian
outfit asking for addresses for : - CAVEAT EMPTOR, ECOLOGY,
GREAT DOWNHILL SKI GAME, NEW TOWN, and BRIDGETTE.
Also a note that, although there has been interest in my
columns, the companies are not interested in advertising.

Thought of another idea for a game using the SKYSCRAPERS.
Two play. Each One controls the two low levels, the
other the high. Pcs. [pieces] are placed one at a time. Players
score for getting adjoined groups of their level. Possibly
the square of the number. Possibly could be played by
3 or 4 if a series of games are played. Players would
have to rotate levels since there are different numbers.

things for one or the other.
Phil said that everyone at Reiss is enthusiastic about
Bob Hallowell's p. & p. games. Bob will need a success or he is in
trouble. It is still not sure whether his public offering of
stock will be sold.
The only one that Phil tried was WILDCAT and he liked it.
He had some suggestions for adding interest : - 1) When a player
succeeds in striking oil in all of the sites in a section he
gets a bonus of 1 well on his score (which makes small sections
somewhat more valuable. 2) A particularly high number is a high
producer - worth 2 on the score. 3) A throw of, say, 12 calls
for another throw to be read against a "chance" list and gives
events such as fires, etc. Told him that my idea had been to
keep the games simple, but that I would do some thinking on
adding play value.
Told Phil that when I heard from Marshall Lucas I would contact him about getting HABITAT and HONORABLE RELATIONS from him.
FREE FORM presents an "agent" problem. We didn't mention
SPACE STIX. Incidentally, I told Phil that Lucas didn't seem that interested
in board games, despite Hochstetter's report.
Rcd. [received] a call from Sym Robbins. John Rasor had called and said
that the Xerox shop couldn't understand the drawings for
MILL and CONNACTION. They would like a picture of them
all put together. I said that I was surprised that they
hadn't kicked about BEAN BAG TARGET. Sym asked me to
send that too.
Told Sym about S & R [Selchow and Righter] and the shipping crate for RSVP.
He doesn't want to pay for a crate. Asked him whether
he wanted the 12' x 12' PARCHEESI board. He'll check with
Bernie and get back to me. (He called while I was out and I called back).

Rudy Lopez called and I told him that I located the difficult
LIVE WIRE. I'll bring it to him in Astoria Queens tomorrow.
