The Xerox shop needs complete details on all the construction. I
said I could do it on everything except the wiring. The electric
football is, of course, replaced and he said I should also
leave out the electric NIM game. We decided I'd leave it
till last.
Made a date for me to bring the drawings to him next Thursday
at 2:00 P.M. I'll put them on 8 1/2 x 11 sheets so that
he can run off duplicates and we can mark the painting
on them and make changes as necessary.
He hasn't followed up on the gigantic CHESS set yet, but will.
Called back later to tell me that he had an appointment on Thursday.
Made it Friday.
Called Felicia to tell her about LOTTERY, SPELLBINDER, and SKYSCRAPERS.
I suggested 3M for SKYSCRAPERS but Felicia said they are very disorganized
and she'll wait till Stationery Show when Bill Caruson comes in,
unless she can find someone else first. Altho she doesn't care much
for puzzles, this one appeals to her.
She stopped at R.G.I. yesterday and looked at the HOLIDAY box. She liked it.
Herb Roth keeps warning Felicia to watch out for Bob Gellman.
Frank Armbruster here for lunch. Gave me 10 copies of a new scientific
gimmick he is manufacturing called THE BULLROARER. He told me
that he had located a copy of SENSITIVITY and had sent it to me about a week
ago, even tho it wasn't much. He rcd. the material on MONOPOLY and
Dale's paper that I sent to him.
Frank saw John Gieger (where?). He is now selling his games by mail
order only. Frank had a copy of METRO-MOSAIC GAME and of
THE DECA-LOGIC GAME SYSTEM. I located the latter but couldn't find the
former at first. He told me to keep the copy; it is more important for me
to have it than for him. (Later located my copy, but not sure it is
the same.)
This brought up the subject of finding a home for my collection. He checked
with his friend at the Steinhart Aquarium, part of the California
Science Museum. He wasn't interested in a game collection.
Frank is teaching a class "Games for Education" at Santa Clara
University which is a Catholic School. He asked if I would mind a
Catholic School. Of course not. (Frank, incidentally, is not Catholic.)
Frank's class is for teachers and is a workshop in inventing new
