He thinks I can use "Capital Gains" for my 3M money.
| |||
I meant to bring a copy of the new edition of ''AGOG'' to
| |||
Felicia, which she requested yesterday, but I forgot.
| |||
Felicia showed me a letter from Larry Stockard at Hallmark.
| |||
He said that he would be dealing with her since Bob Edwards
| |||
was leaving for another job. He started the letter with
| |||
"Yes, we think PLANES is a good game too. The option contract
| |||
will be on the way shortly." (Approximate wording.) He
| |||
also said that they would be interested in FRENETICS, but not
| |||
if it is a package deal with other games.
| |||
Lillian Voegelin was there working on a project with Felicia
| |||
so I left soon after talking to Willett.
To 200 5th. Picked up the 2/21/72 issue of ''TOY & HOBBY WORLD.
| |||
Had an ad for COACHES ALL-STAR FOOTBALL (Great Games Inc.);
| |||
(Lawrence Toys, Inc.) CROSSTIXX, EGG TIMER, SCATTER BRAIN,
| |||
NOT QUITE, HEXASPIRATION, MAGNE - TANGLE, PANDORA'S BOX,
| |||
ANGLE-TANGLE, TRY ANGLES.
To Research Games. Bob Gellman there. Had a box for HOLIDAY
| |||
and it looked good - not too juvenile and not too egghead.
| |||
Bob said that F.A.O. Schwartz had already put in an order.
| |||
On the wall there was a mockup of a game called
| |||
HOLLYWOOD. I asked Bob about it and he said he hoped they
| |||
wouldn't have to use it, but if Ken Morgan wouldn't <s>budge o</s>
| |||
budge on the 18% royalty they would have to. I said that I
| |||
hoped that the game would not be the same. He said it
| |||
wouldn't be. | |||

Bob Hallowell was busy with problems on the stock issuing
| |||
and couldn't make it. Fred and I played all or part of
| |||
DRILL FOR OIL, COLD WAR, XANDO, HEXOWORD, and TOURNEY.
| |||
He caught on and played very well. Went over the rules
| |||
of AIR BATTLE and CONNECTIONS. Told him that further
| |||
work was required on SUBSIDUARIES Also that unless they
| |||
had a strong liking for CONNECTIONS I'd just as soon leave
| |||
it out because of AIRLINE.
| |||
Fred said that he'd like to start with DRILL FOR OIL,
| |||
probably with the name WILDCAT. (Told him that the
| |||
name had been used many years ago.) He'd like the rules
| |||
for it <s>some time</s> at the end of next week.
| |||
Fred is working on packaging for M.B.'s adult game line. He
| |||
told me this when I noticed a copy of BAZAAR. He said
| |||
that the book case packaging is by far the most popular
| |||
for adult games.
| |||
