15 TUESDAY - FEBRUARY 1972
SHROVE TUESDAY - MARDI GRAS (ALA., FLA., LA.) - 46TH DAY - 320 DAYS TO COME

Rcd. [received] Feb. '72 [February 1972] TOYS. New products had STRECH-A-WORD.
Rcd. a letter from Ken Morgan, wishing me luck with the travel game (HOLIDAY), saying that he will be available next week for a visit.
Also sent me a clipping from THE WALL STREET JOURNAL (2/11/72 on presidential games including : - WHO CAN BEAT NIXON?, THE NEXT PRESIDENT, MR. PRESIDENT, HAT IN THE RING, and LIE, CHEAT & STEAL.

Vicki Simon sent a letter to BB and enclosed a clipping (newspaper) for a game called SEXISM. It is being sold for $5 thru the "National Organization for Women."
Lauri Horn gave me a clipping from her school newspaper for a game invented by a student - GLOBAL CHESS.

[Diagram of what looks to be the top half of a Chess board. Arrows point out and away from both sides while the columns are connected by dashed and solid lines. 1st column to 5th, 2nd to 6th, 3rd to 7th, and 4th to 8th.]

The same thing could be accomplished by considering the chessboard as being connected as shown. Actually I doubt if over the pole moves are permitted, so only a sideways connection (cylindrical) would be involved.

Finished fixing the DRILL FOR OIL layout. Made a new one for AIR BATTLE and also made layouts for TOURNEY and HEXOWORD. Ran off 5 copies of each at Boston Road.

The letter I sent to Nancy Weber (see 2/11) of LIFESTYLE Magazine was returned "addressee unknown." Tried to get a telephone number for the magazine without success. Then called Joan Oliver (see 10/27/71) and she was going to get the number and call me back. But Nancy Weber called me. Told her what happened and I'll drop off the stuff Thursday. Called Joan Oliver to tell her I had the number.

Bernie Lane over and we discussed the Xerox exhibit. Will include the following games : - CHECKERS, 3-D TIC-TAC-TOE, HEX, MILL, ELECTRIC FOOTBALL, ROPE TARGET TOSS, BEAN BAG TARGET, BEAN BAG TAC TOE, ELECTRIC NIM, RSVP, SCRABBLE FOR JUNIORS, ORBIT.
Told Bernie I'd check on "Super Tinkertoy" and found that the company was in the Bronx. Bernie doesn't want any regular sized action games. Bernie is friendly with Ed Berkely who puts out a magazine called {COMPUTERS & AUTOMATION Magazine
