Rcd. a call from Mr. Stong who does the "Amateur Scientist" column
in SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN. He and some of his colleagues
have developed a scientific oddity, which started with a rock that is spun in one
direction, rattles, and then spins in the other direction. They now can make it
out of plastic and call it RATTLE ROCK. Martin Gardner got them
in touch with Tom Atwater who is quite enthusiastic with it.
Tom sent Stong a contract form but left his percentage blank. Stong checked
with Martin and he suggested talking to me. I told him that Tom probably
forgot to fill in the blank, and that his percentage would probably be
somewhere between 15% and 25%.
Stong thanked me and said he would send me a RATTLE ROCK.
