7 MONDAY - FEBRUARY 1972
38TH DAY - 328 DAYS TO COME
Called Keith Tuggle, person to person, but spoke to his secretary
since he is sick, at least till Wednesday. She checked with
Kathy Brooks and she had both FOREIGN INTRIGUE and J'ACCUSE,
but claimed she didn't have the disclosure form. I told
the secretary that Felicia had sent them, but that I would send
another and tell Felicia about it.
Asked the secretary if she knew anything about BAZAAR. She
hadn't heard anything about its revival.
Called Felicia about the matter of the forms. At first she was mad,
but finally said she would send another for J'ACCUSE.
Felicia saw Bob Gellman about the HOLIDAY contract. At first
he didn't like our addition (see 2/3) because he thought we
wanted the art work. Felicia told him that all we wanted was
the game.
Felicia asked how I was doing with DIALEMMA and I told her
I'd have it ready by Toy Fair.
Called Daniel Mack about Dana bringing the games to him after
6. After waiting about 5 minutes without him coming to the
line, I hung up. Called later and asked the girl. She said
to bring them thru the Church.
Dana brought ACQUIRE, EXECUTIVE DECISION, TWIXT, SLEUTH,
and MR. PRESIDENT to WRVR.
Called Claude and found he was at Earl's. called there and
spoke to both of them. Possibly we'll get together next week.
Earl told me of a game one of his Chinese students told him
about, and which reminded him of XANDO. It is called
3-6-9 and is played with pencil and paper. A 9 x 9 array is
drawn. Players in turn place an X in any space. When
a player places an X that makes a row of 3, 6, or 9 X's in
one, or both, orthogonal directions he scores that many
points. He also places another X and continues placing X's
until he places one that doesn't score. High score when
the 81 spaces are filled wins.
Earl said that diagonal lines can also be counted. I
tried it a little by myself and it's hard enough to see
just using orthogonals.
Earl said that he'd like to try his game ASTROCASTICS when,
and if I go there next week.
Sent FOREIGN INTRIGUE disclosure form and a short letter to
Keith Tuggle.
Sent a condolence card to Felicia's Claude - his brother's death.
(cont. from 2/14) [2/17]
Claude returned my book IT IS TO LAUGH. Gave Claude check for $95.24 for his share, corrected for 3rd quart. overpayment last year, of EXECUTIVE DECISION.
