3 THURSDAY - FEBRUARY 1972
34TH DAY - 332 DAYS TO come

To Jack Davis. Picked up FEUDAL (plus a gloss of it) for Don Miller. Ran me a repro [reproduction] of an article from THE ARIZONA DAILY STAR V (Nov. 25, 1971) which mentioned MR. PRESIDENT, EXECUTIVE DECISION,
MASTERPIECE, CAREERS, and two other things.
Dan Mack of WRVR wanted 4 games, ACQUIRE, EXECUTIVE DECISION,
TWIXT, and MR. PRESIDENT, but the station is out of their delivery
zone. I took the games and a letter to Mack. Jack
called, but Mack wasn't in. He'll call later this afternoon
and Jack will tell him I have the games. Jack will call me
tomorrow morning with Mack's directions.
Got the MR. PRESIDENT Glossy.

To Skunk Works. Gave Red my column for S & T number 31 and
the Glossy for MR. PRESIDENT.
Got NAPOLEON AT WATERLOO (Advanced Game Expansion Kit), 4
copies of #30, 1 of #29, and 2 of #27.
Showed the flyer on GAMES & PUZZLES to Jim, Red, John Young, and
Al Nofi. Ran off repros for them. (Also ran repros of
"Capital Gains" Material and 3M statements for myself.)
Told them that I would subscribe to GAMES & PUZZLES.
Al Nofi told me that they were subscribing to a Magazine
SIMULATION & GAMES, which is for educators, etc. It is put
out by
{SAGE Publications
{275 South Beverly Drive
{Beverly Hills, California 90212
They saw the ad in a book published by SAGE, which I
borrowed - SIMULATION GAMES IN LEARNING.
Jim took me to see their new offices at 44 E. 23rd. Could only
look in since tiles were being layed. Much larger.
On way stopped to look at Metropolitan Book Store. Jim had seen
copies of AGOG there. It is the Castle Book edition. The binding
is not as good, but not terrible. The jacket is the same except
listed as $6.95, and they had them marked down to $2.25.
Asked about a new Press Card. They are supposed to be printed
up in the next few weeks. If they are not ready in time for Toy Fair,
they'll give me a letter.
Al Nofi gave me a letter from a reader asking me to review:
SPACEVENTURE, FEUDAL, ORION, CHÉ, BOUNDARY & REINCARNATION.

To Bob Gellman. Gave him the rules and other material
for HOLIDAY. We went over the rules and made a few changes.
He told me that HOLIDAY is the most expensive game
that they have ever put out. I should really sell for $7, not $6. But he
is willing to take less profit since he believes it will carry
other games with it.
We went over his "blurb" for HOLIDAY and made it agree
with the actual cards. Also took out "educational", (the Kiss of
death - I said).
