30 SUNDAY - JANUARY 1972
SEPTAUGESIMA - 30TH DAY - 336 DAYS TO COME

My father gave me the clipping from the HACKENSACK RECORD that his ex-boss sent him.

(cont. from 2/3) [2/3]

Looked at their game WHITE HOUSE, just the board there. Said it looked like the play was must like MONOPOLY; he said it was.
Gave Bob a copy of S & T #30. He is interested, he says, in subscribing and possibly advertising.
I asked if he wanted to tell me anything about MOVIE MOGULS. Only that they still want to do it, and it is now up to Ken.
Bob took me to lunch. I suggested Chock Full of Nuts.

To Felicia. The HOLIDAY contract had a clause that all patents, copyrights, and trade marks belonged to R.G.I. [Research Games Inc.] Then there was a clause that the Designer could terminate the contract for default. I added "that all rights, with the exception of trade marks, will return to the Designer." We both signed. The royalty payments will be sent to Felicia for distribution, since Bob doesn't want to send three checks.
Felicia told me about a GAME based on dealing with church property, that was brought to her. At first she thought it was another MONOPOLY rip-off. But it had a cute gimmick (which she didn't remember and she didn't have the game there). She'll try to sell it, but doesn't think she'll be able to.
She gave me the rules and photocopies of a game STONED (didn't get details about where it came from). Together with it was a clipping about DEALER MCDOPE DEALING GAME and two on FEDS 'N' HEADS. (Clippings filed in I/S [1/5?] folder.)
Both MB [Milton Bradley] and Hallmark seem anxious to get PSYCHE-PATHS. She is giving Hallmark first crack at it.// Lillian Voegelin's GAME is J'ACCUSE.
She checked with Dorothy Shapiro of Brentano's whether she thought 3M would remainder BAZAAR. Dorothy doubted it greatly.
Told Felicia I'd try to have LOTTERY and DIALEMMA ready for Toy Fair. Told her a little about the latter.
Herb Roth came in. While talking the subject of AQUARIUS 2000 and BRIDGEVERYONE and I said I think they were now, together with Carl Eisenberg, at Riis Associates. I intimated, without being specific, that I knew them all.
Felicia said that DOOP was as good as BRIDGEVERYONE. Herb said that he was throwing away a copy of DOOP. I told him I'd take it, and any other games he was thru with.
Herb also gave me a copy of HAT IN THE RING. He is discontinuing handling it, since he realized that it was too competitive with WHO CAN BEAT NIXON?// Gave me glossy of the latter which I brought to Skunk Works.

Rcd. [received] PANZERFAUST (#51, Jan. - Fe. '72 [January - February 1972]). It is now offset and 60 pages. Quite attractive. It contained, among other things, an article on ORIGINS OF WORLD WAR II; a review of ALESIA,
