29TH DAY - 337 DAYS TO COME

Rcd. a letter from Jim Scully. He enclosed rules and diagram
for MANCALA variation he calls FORESIGHT. It has an interesting
rule for capture; one color twice the other.

Played COLD WAR with BB and the Horns. Dave and Barbara didn't
want to stop when we reached a shorter end that BB suggested.
Instead played until at least one section in each row and column was
completed. The only problem was that doubling the 5 point
intersection section practically assured the game. Later thought
of the following. Make the selected row worth 2, the
selected column worth 3, and the intersection 5. Completing any
section gives a bonus of 2 spaces.

Keith's wife died - soon after his father.
Frank showed me something on his CONTIGO. His original game
(which he promised to send as soon as he gets home - tho I
said rules would be fine) used an 8 x 8 grid. Around the grid
are a series of pockets, one next to the ends of each row
& column and also one at each corner (36 total). In each pocket
2 seeds are placed.
