27 THURSDAY - JANUARY 1972
27TH DAY - 339 DAYS TO COME

Called Mike Alber and he'll send a glossy of LANDSLIDE to
Red Simonsen. He asked my opinion of LANDSLIDE and I
said it compared to MR. PRESIDENT or THE NEXT PRESIDENT
somewhat like RISK compares to [illegible crossed out] an A.H. war game.
Called Audrey Pierce and she had Jack Davis call me back.
Told him about Don Miller and THE GAMESMAN and THE GAMESLETTER
and I'll pick up a copy of FEUDAL for Don next week, also
a glossy for MR. PRESIDENT.

Rcd. the 10 [illegible crossed out] ordered copies of NOST-ALGIA.
(#)89, 90, & 91 have articles on 3-D CHESS. #103, #104, #105, #107,
(#)110, &111 have articles on ULTIMA. #106, #107, & 111 have articles
on CHI CHI'S CHESS (see CHI CHI - 12/7/68, and 12/14/68). #106 had a
review of CHESS VARIATIONS by John Gollon (I bought this in
'65). #110 had review for booklet on PHOTOPOULOS 3-D CHESS (they
didn't care for it). #111 mentioned two of Phil Cohen's variations -
FREE ROTATION CHESS and RESTRICTED ROTATION CHESS. #111 has a
variation of SECRET WORD which allows a player to change
his "secret word" as long as the new word agrees with
the information previously given.
Rcd. a letter from John C. Rasor of Xerox confirming the agreement
for me to work on the exhibit.
Rcd. a carbon of a letter from Bob Gelleman to Martine Gilchrist
concerning the slides for HOLIDAY.

Rcd. the FITTING & PROPER check Felicia sent yesterday. It was
for $167.50 instead of $187.50. Called Felicia twice, but got
answering service.
In evening she called to cancel our date for Saturday. Told her
about the check. Hers was for only $62.50. I'll return my
check to Bob Edwards. She'll write to Jim Goldsberry.

Started working on the rewrite of the LAWSUIT rules.

Called Phil Orbanes. He still hasn't rcd the check for NINE OF SWORDS
tho Hallowell said it was sent out. Phil will have lunch with
Hallowell tomorrow, and will call me after.
Asked about getting copies of ORBIT for Xerox show.
