23 SUNDAY - JANUARY 1972
THIRD SUNDAY AFTER EPIPHANY - 23RD DAY - 343 DAYS TO COME
Ken Morgan called. I told him that the story on
MOVIE MOGULS was out and that Herb Roth is interested
in it. Also told him that I found Bob Gellman to be quite
on the level. He didn't argue or resent my saying it. I'll
call him about getting together for lunch when I go downtown
this week.
Working on equipment for FOREIGN INTRIGUE. Decided not to
use the identification plaques worn around the neck. I was
afraid that 3M would think there was too much equipment,
[Illegible crossed out.] Made the board
using black cardboard. It looks quite good.
Arthur called. Nothing specifically about games. He asked me to
send him a copy of the BOOK WORLD article. Said I would.
(cont. from 1/24) [2/24]
letter will do the same thing easier. Also their idea could lead
to a blacklist of those signing the attesting form.
Frank is working on a "Knowledge" GAME for 3M. I told him about
FOREIGN INTRIGUE. Also something came up (which I don't
recall) that led me to tell him about FITTING & PROPER.
Frank has a variation on Frank Armbruster's TASMANIA
puzzle, called RING AROUND THE POSIE. Object is to go around the
petals going thru each one once.
[Diagram of a round posy flower with six petals within a circle. Looks a bit like a sand dollar. Small dots over it.]
[Started 2/24] [Arrows pointing up and down.]
Called Bernie Lane before I left the house. He gave
me the dates that things have to be at Xerox - between
4/4 and 4/11.
At Gift Show he saw a CHESS set put out by Austin with a 5' high
King. He can get it for the exhibit. I suggested setting it
up with a railing around it and getting members
of the Rochester CHESS club to give matches.
He liked the idea.
