22 SATURDAY - JANUARY 1972
22ND DAY - 344 DAYS TO COME
To Copy Shop. Picked up the 50 copies of the pad sheets for
FOREIGN INTRIGUE. also ran off another 5 each of the
3 sheets for the p. & p. games: AIR BATTLE, etc.
During afternoon cut up the pads for FOREIGN INTRIGUE. Also
made the 10 envelopes for keeping the identity cards.
With Horn's played JET HOLIDAY. Dave used his 10 cards first but
tied with BB in "pleasure points". BB had more money and won.
Later was thinking of adding a variation where players are allowed,
if they wish, to announce where they intend to go
during the bidding. Players can make deals, including splitting the
cost of chartering the plane.
Rcd. a post card from Don Miller. He would particularly like to
get a copy of FEUDAL. He has a copy of THE GAMESMAN #1
which he can send me.
While the Horns were here looked at WHO CAN BEAT NIXON?
but decided not to play it.
At the Copy Shop also got repros of the article on <u<MONOPOLY by
Willard Alphin and Dale's paper on the Dionysian rites to
send to Frank Armbruster.
(cont. from 2/4) [2/28]
3M is also considering Alex' TIDDELY GOLF.
TWIXT dropped off about 6% last year, the first time
that it ever dropped. I told him that ACQUIRE also dropped
about 6%. FACTS IN FIVE had a little increase.
Tom is negotiating with Hallmark for Golumb's
PENTOMINOS, to be done in a manner similar to SOMA.
