SHORT AIR LINE) : good. Trying COLD WAR: not so good. Trying
SUBSIDUARIES: pretty good. (Played using transparant overlays.)
At night thought of idea of <s>using</s> designating a
row and a column as most valuable in COLD WAR. Also
ending game when <s>one player</s> at least one section
in each column and row was completed.

I called Bob Gellman and, altho I told him it wasn't at all
necessary, he insisted on telling me about their problem with
Ken Morgan - 17 1/2 % royalty and clause that allows Ken to take
back the game after 2 years. I told him that even from Ken's
side it didn't look as if he, Gellman, had done anything
wrong. Gellman said that Felicia had said that I was very
concerned - which I denied,// Bob hopes to come to a compromise with Ken.
Research Games will be going public in the next few weeks.

In my talk with Felicia she said that she had rcd. a check already
for HIGH BID, no statement. It was down from last year but
she figured it was because of the "pipeline" last year for the
Gamette.
She rcd. the BALI payment. About twice last year's.

To the Richter's in the evening. He is looking for a job, but
still trying to sell his games, puzzles, and crafts. Thru
an ad (where?) he contacted Arnold Edson (I mentioned
my contact.) Edson took some things, including WHIRLPOOL.
Edson takes 50%.
Al had two new PUZZLES. One consisted of four
transparant plastic pcs. which are divided into a 4 x 4
grid (altho the lines are not on it). Squares of contact are
placed in different positions similar to that shown.
[Diagram of a 4 x 4 grid. 2 spaces are blue, 4 are red, and the remainder are white.]

The squares are on both sides and sometimes differently
colored from one to the other. Object to form a checkered pattern,
half red, half blue, and another patter I didn't get.
The other consisted of six triangular pcs. with patterns
on the 3 sides, similar to that shown. These are placed
