18 TUESDAY - JANUARY 1972
18TH DAY - 348 DAYS TO COME

on 4th Ave. bought one dozen yellow pads.
On 23rd St. bought the Sept. 1971 PLAYBOY. It had a game
FEDS 'N HEADS (see '71). (This is the game Earl told me he had
seen.)

To Skunk Works. Asked Red and, since they are going to more
pages, I can go over a page in my next column. Checked with
Jim and I can wait until the end of the month to have it in.
Jim gave me the copy of A.H.'s sales he had promised to send
to me.
Got a copy of NAPOLEON AT WATERLOO (Revised edition). Jim told
me to pick up a copy of a "supplement" to this but Fred
said I had rcd. it with the last package (rcd. 1/15). (At home
I found I hadn't.)
Asked Jim about the English Magazine ALBION and then by accident
saw the copy #32 that Phil Cohen had asked about. Made two
copies of a CHESS variation by Rod Blackshaw. (One for Phil and
one for me).
Borrowed the magazine. It also had THE DAMATE GAME, a
CHESS variant by V.R. Parton. Also had some rule interpretations
for BARBAROSSA. Also had a review of KURSK.
(A very well done magazine.)

To S. & R. Gave the receptionist my reviews on RPM and
SENTENCE CUBE GAME.
To G. & R. Gave Mr. Reidel my reviews of NEW TOWN,
NINETY SEVEN, and CAVEAT EMPTOR in S & T and BOOK WORLD. Also
gave him the 1/9 copy of BOOK WORLD giving the address for
CAVEAT EMPTOR.
Took a folder for Kontrell Industries which shows the
board for RICOCHET and HAVOC. Also the Peter Max CHESS set.
And the KALAH line. (Filed in '72 misc.)
Mr. Reidel told me that Lakeside has taken over Games
Research (DIPLOMACY).
