Downtown to Pierce Promotions. Gave Jack Davis the ''BOOK WORLD''
with my article.
with my article. He looked thru his clippings and had
very few on my games; he had been told to push KRESKIN'S KRYSTAL.
The best was an article from ''CHICAGO TODAY'' including SPEED CIRCUIT,
THE STOCK MARKET GAME, ACQUIRE, EXECUTIVE DECISION, DIPLOMACY,
PRO FOOTBALL, GO. Also told an article on Alex Randolph from
"Youth Enterprise Service".

To Mickey Mackay and gave her the ''BOOK WORLD'' with my article.
Mentioned that I may move to doing 8 or so articles a year
and then brought up her previous ideas on syndication.
She has been checking and it is rough. In her opinion going
thru ''BOOK WORLD'' would be a much better way.
M.B. is coming out with two GAMEs based on the T.V.
program "It's All in the Family". She suggested that they might
be interested on one based on "Sanford & Son" the new program
starting this week, based on the family life of blacks.

To Mike Alber. Gave him ''BOOK WORLD''. He showed me the clipping from
the ''SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINER''. Not only did it misspell my name
but it left out the mention of EXECUTIVE DECISION and SLEUTH,
only mentioning ''AGOG''.
He gave me copies of LANDSLIDE and TINY TIM GAME. The latter
had bombed horribly. He had only two copies left and insisted that
I should have one as a collector's item.
Both of the games were done by Marvin Glass, and he is
pretty sure that DEALER'S CHOICE (about used cars) is also M.G.
They keep taking M.G. things because they sell well. Last year
MASTERPIECE did better than any board game in history (I believe)
than MONOPOLY.
While I was there he rcd. a telephone call from someone who was
preparing a radio program on games. The fellow was interested in
modern topics. Mike will send him CAREERS, which is updated
with new careers in Ecology etc.; also MONOPOLY. Mike was
mentioning Urban Systems Games but didn't include ECOLOGY.
I mentioned it and Mike told the fellow that "one of the
countrie's leading experts on games was in the office" and put me on.
I told him about Urban Systems, also the group interaction
type. Told him about war games and said that I liked RISK
better. He asked for a copy. Told him about 3M games and
Pierce Promotions to get a copy of ACQUIRE.
His name is Daniel Mack and he is on WRVR. He took
my number and he'll call. Maybe he'll have me on the program.

Before going to Mickey Mackey's stopped at Random House.
Neither Fay nor Fabio were in. Went to Miriam Norton but she said
