10 MONDAY - JANUARY 1972
10TH DAY - 356 DAYS TO COME

Rcd. [received] letter from Lester Gendron saying he wants me to rewrite the instructions for LAWSUIT.

Called Mike Alber. Told him I had heard from Paul Schulman of the
HACKENSACK RECORD. He told me that he has repros [reproductions] of my article -
also from San Francisco and New Orleans papers. He doesn't have
an original and I'll drop one off tomorrow. He'll give me a copy of
Parker's new LANDSLIDE.
Called Mickey Mackay. I'll drop off a copy of BOOK WORLD there tomorrow.
She told me that M.B. [Milton Bradley] had switched to an advertising agency from
the P.R. firm she is now with. They expected her to switch too but she
refused. Instead they are setting up an office for her at 200 Fifth and
she'll do their P.R.
Called Jack Davis and told him I'd bring him BOOK WORLD tomorrow morning.

Called Thomas Tincher at BOOK WORLD. The two extra papers that have
taken my column are SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINER (which had my name Jackson
according to Alber) and NEW ORLEANS TIMES - PICAYUNE. They also have
arrangements with papers in Philadelphia, Boston, and Seattle who may
pick up the column. Also the Paris edition of the "Herald-Tribune."
Tincher is trying to interest Monaghan in my doing about 8 columns a
year. With the papers they can line up there will be 8,000,000
readers.
I mentioned that I was sending copies of the column to the companies
mentioned. Tincher said that they would take care of that for me if
I gave them the names and addresses. Said I'd bring some in tomorrow.
Prepared the following list : Thomas N. Shaw (ORIGINS OF WORLD WAR II),
W.J. Caruson (SPEED CIRCUIT), Eric Naiburg (CAVEAT EMPTOR), Harwell
Associates (NEW TOWN), Pat Madden (BOUNDARY), Randolph P. Barton
(ORION), Jed Gaines (BRIDGETTE).

Called Earl Perel and invited him here Thursday for supper. He may get
here early to play games before supper.

During some playing around with an old game idea of mine -
SUBSIDUARIES as a p. & p. game. Decided to use a 5" x 7" size
instead of the 4" x 6" I had mentioned to Bob Hallowell.

Sent BOOK WORLD and S & T columns, together with a letter, to
Dr. Richard Rosen (ECOLOGY, THE GODFATHER GAME, asked for revised
SMOG rules); Ms. Alice Carey Ricca (THE GREAT DOWNHILL SKI GAME);
Mrs. Judy Kugel (BUGS & LOOOPS).

Claude called. Talked some more about his "knowledge" GAME for
3M. I'll see him here Thursday.
