Rcd. order envelope from A.H. for ORIGINS OF WORLD WAR II.
Rcd. order envelope from A.H. for ORIGINS OF WORLD WAR II.
Also contained a listing of their "Games of Logic" Series.
Rcd. a postcard from Ken Morgan.
Rcd. an "air letter" from Colin Haycraft. He rcd. the copy
of ''AGOG'' and is now working on estimates. Will write soon.
Called Felicia to tell her of Bob Gellman's wanting to get together
with Ruth Shaler for a conference on the sights to use in
JET HOLIDAY. Felicia will try to contact Ruth and then call Bob.
Felicia has a letter from Jim Kraus. They are returning
WILD WOOD PILE. They were considering three puzzles that required
molds. They decided on one called MASTER MAZE as having more
appeal. If they could invest in 2 molds WILD WOOD PILE might well
be the 2nd. MASTER MAZE will be out about July 1st.
He can't give her any word about when they might be
wanting TORTS - THE GAME OF LAWSUITS since this line (family?)
is questionable.
IMAGE may be moved to the Bookshelf line.
PROFIT will not be coming out in the first quarter . They are
going to do some testing on merchandising the Gamette line,
and adding new games will have to wait on that.
Felicia thought that we might show WILD WOOD PILE to the Puzzle
Factory. Their game, DICTIONARY GAME, flopped but their
jigsaw puzzles are doing well.
Felicia has a letter from Keith Tuggle. They won't give any money
to inventors submitting "Mystery" or "Knowledge" games at
their invitation. Their view is that freelancers are always
speculating.
The games being applicable to from 4 to 10 players is a must.
He didn't send any further explanation of what is wanted
in the "Knowledge Game".
I told Felicia that I wasn't working on a "Knowledge" game but
that I had played my "Mystery" game at Claude's and that it
worked very well. None of her other inventors are working on
a "Knowledge" game and Lillian Voegelin has not done much yet
on the "Mystery" game.
She rcd. a call from Mary Hilt when she wasn't in. She wondered
if she should call collect and I said "by all means".
Her boyfriend Claude's family played SLEUTH over the holidays
and liked it very much. Also RPM.
I asked, and she told me that she had rcd. a check for $100 from
Chuck Titus to handle PSYCHE-PATHS. He said that he had
been busy over the holidays and would be sending me the
information on the capital gains soon.
Bob Gellman called. Martine Gilcrest now seems willing to
supply the slides for JET HOLIDAY at a nominal cost if an ad for her
slides is included. He wanted a listing of the cities and the
number of sights in each.
I asked him to call Felicia and let her know that he doesn't
