COMPUTAMATIC FINANCE, COMPUTER VEGAS, COMPUTER BOWLING,
COMPUTER HORSERACING. (Filed in '72 Misc. [1972 miscellaneous])
Spoke to G. Donald Ebert, the president. Told him about the Xerox
exhibit, and that I'd have to check whether they would want to
use one of his games. Took his card and told him I'd call this
week. He suggested COMPUTER VEGAS but I didn't think that
would be a good idea. We decided on COMPUTAMATIC FOOTBALL and
possibly COMPUTER GAMES.
To S & R and looked at COOK'S TOUR and took an abbreviated rule
sheet. It is basically a question and answer game with a
race. (Filed in '72 Misc.)
To Parker [Parker Brothers]. Showed my changes inMASTERPIECE to Bill Dohrmann
(and another fellow was there part of the time). Bill liked
them and started talking finances. I said I'd prefer a
royalty since, if the game continues a long time I would
feel that I had had something to do with it. He asked
how much and I said in the neighborhood of 1%. He said
that they would prefer a flat fee but he would check and
call me back early next week. He was talking of the
possibility of calling it MASTERPIECE II.
Before I started showing the other items he said that he had
second thoughts on SKYSCRAPERS and decided it wasn't for them. I told
him about TORUS, which he said he hadn't seen.
He took LOTTERY and SPELLBINDER with him. Didn't go into them
much.
He had a copy of SEXISM in the office which he said someone
had dropped off. I asked if I could look at it. He said
I could keep it.
He showed me DEALER'S CHOICE. Looked pretty good. Played one part
of Alex' SQUARE OFF. Also good.
Told him about Xerox and then sugges asked if I should work
thru Mike Alber. Yes.
In Press Room picked up another copy of the Ideal catalog. Felicia
wanted one and I don't know if she had a chance to get one.
Arthur called while i was out. I called back. Nothing new about
games.

Picked up 2/29 edition of TOY TRADE NEWS. New products lists
ON-WORDS and MOVIE STARS.
Before going to Parker stopped at G. & R. Spoke to Mrs. Reidel. She
said that it had been the best Toy Fair in many years. There
was nothing new in the adult field, but probably will be for
Stationery Show. I learned that the deal for Lakeside to
take over DIPLOMACY had fallen thru. (She said that a game
dies once it gets with Lakeside.)
Told her about Xerox. I'll come in after Toy Fair.
Rcd. [received] March PLAYTHINGS. Nothing in it that I didn't see before.
