THURSDAY 16 DECEMBER 1971 350th day - 15 days to come

Rcd. a letter from Jim Scully. He did receive mine of 11/11.

Felicia called. A & S had a cute ad (which I went out to buy) for PLOY, SOCIETY TODAY, WOMAN MAN, 97, COUPLES, RISK, TOUCH, BODY TALK, HEADACHE, EXECUTIVE DECISION, HAVOC, WHO CAN BEAT NIXON, TROUBLE, STOCKS & BONDS, VENTURE, LIFE, SUM-UP, PASSWORD, MONOPOLY, THE CITIES GAME, CONCENTRATION, SCAN & PSYCH-OUT. ('71 Ad Clips.)

She met the head of Dynamic Design at Herb Roth's. She saw the boxes of some of their new games: AIRPORT ($8), I-CHING ($6) - the fortune telling I am pretty sure, DRUG ATTACK ($8) - not DRUG ADDICTION, and EMPEROR OF CHINA. She showed him ENVIRONMENT and he liked it, altho he thought that Ecology games have about had it. He may have her send it. I asked if she thought LOTTERY would be good for them. She is not sure it is timely enough but when I get it done she'll show it to him (but when will I get it done, she asked?). (Definitely I should work on the things for 3M first.) She was told that the Dynamic Games outsell the 3M. Herb Roth sold $60,000 this season in the New York area - his territory (which doesn't sound like so much to me).

Don't know where this information came from but she said that Macy's is redoing the adult game dept. and will feature Dynamic Design and 3M games. Also - the two hottest games all over the city are SLEUTH and MASTERPIECE.

Ken Morgan called to apologize for last night. He will send me a clipping he was going to bring me - "Rex Reeds" column in the News raving about MOVIE MOGULS. Reed mentioned it was on sale in Brentano's they rcd. a flood of calls the next day.

Wrote to Colin Haycraft about AGOG, telling him I had sent a copy to him.

Started working on a letter to Pierre Berloquin. Called Jim Dunnigan to see if he had sent any TSGs to Pierre. Yes, a few of them and the revised NAPOLEON AT WATERLOO.

S & T is moving to 44 E, 23rd St., a much larger place with a rent of about $18,000 a year instead of the present about $4,000. I asked about the general game magazine and he thinks it should be in the works sometime in 1973. He wants to gross $1,000,000 a year before he starts it. He'll probably visit us sometime in the next few weeks.

Claude called about 8 in the evening and wanted to get to- gether, either downtown or here. Invited him to come (cont. on 10/22)
