TIMES had an ad (almost full page) for A&F, including CROSSBLOCK, CROSSWALK, CROSSTALK, HECTIX, EXECUTIVE DECISION, BLUE LINE HOCKEY, CARTESIAN DIVER, FRENETICS, PENTAL, PENTA/GO. and BRIDGETTE. Altman's had another ad for BRIDGETTE.

Worked out a difficult puzzle for DIALEMMA by considering
the outside lines as being connected as indicated by the letter pairs.

Going over the material from AMERICA'S GAME BOOK that I had
copied and added material [illegible crossed out] where required.

Felicia called to invite BB and me for supper tomorrow. Told her
I had a date to go to my father's.

Gary Sherbell called to ask me some questions about
TORTS - THE GAME OF LAWSUITS. Hallmark had returned it saying it
was no fun. He wondered if they saw his original version
or the changed version with the multiple suing that 3M
had suggested. I said that undoubtedly Felicia had sent him them
the latest. He wondered if there was any way of finding out
from 3M the results of their testing, since he had only
tried the new version once. I suggested that, since it was his
game he should try it more times himself to determine
what he thinks is the best version.

Dorothy Shapiro was out to lunch and I asked Henry to tell her
that I would get more copies of S & T to her when they are
reprinted.
There was a big pile of SLEUTH and EXECUTIVE DECISION, also
quite a few ACQUIRE.

To Scribner's and spoke to Burroughs Mitchell the "Trade Book
Editor". Also another fellow who had read the manuscript and
found a lot of things that he couldn't understand, but he thought
that, not being a games expert, it might have been his fault.
Discussed the book in general, just going over my notes in a
few cases. I said I'd hold on to my notes and would come
down again, if they asked me to, to go over them.
They asked if I'd be interested in fixing up the book. I said that
I'd have to spend as much time as writing a book of my
