Tuesday 7 December 1971 341st day - 24 days to come
Called Felicia and she called me back. Told her that
AIRLINE would be returned by Gellman. Later in day
when she complained about being loaded up with unsalable
material I offered to take it back but she said
she always wants to try with my things and wants them
on hand.
Told her that Gellman wanted GO SEE and she knew since he had spoken to her yesterday. She tried Impact but they didn't have it. I checked my records and she was supposed to have it. I found it on an inactive shelf.
I told that I had told Gellman about the pa her remarks on the poor quality of MOVIE STARS. She didn't mind.
Angelo Longo of S.&R. is sending her the inventor of RPM who has some other games.
S.&R. may be looking at games after Toy Fair.
She is happy that S.&R. has promised to upgrade the
quality of BALI and spend more on promotion. They will
saturate an area to see the results.
Called Fay Hertog and asked her who I could get in touch with at Castle Book in connection with Bob Reiss' desire to handle AGOG. She called back with:-
{Castle Book - Division of Book Sales Inc.
{352 Park Ave. S.
{New York (679-9191)
{Laurence Alexander
Called in the afternoon. Alexander wasn't back from lunch.
Supposed to call me, but didn't.
Gave a copy of EXECUTIVE DECISION to Dale's Phil.
Earl Perel called. A fellow teacher had asked him about EXECUTIVE DECISION and Earl had told him he knew the inventor. Earl has heard something about a "Game-of-the-Month Club." Told him I'd check with Eve Auchincloss at BOOK WORLD.
Bob Hallowell called. Jean, his secretary, has a pencil and paper version of 3M's (actually M.B.'s) BATTLESHIPS. It was mailed to me. Told Bob that it is a very common item, but he wants to put one out. I told him I'd come up with others of a similar nature. He'd like to have them soon so that he can put them out next year but there is no immediate hurry.
