TUESDAY 14 SEPTEMBER 1971
257th day - 108 days to come
To Skunk Works. Jim Dunnigan there.
I asked about buying some dice from him. They buy them by
the boxes (thousands in a box) and cost them about 1 [cent] each.
He gave me 101 (I had asked for 100) and wouldn't take any
money.
I took 6 copies of a pr game NAPOLEON AT WATERLOO which
he is using for promotion, giving a free copy to all new sub-
scribers to acquaint them with simulations. I'll bring 5 of
them to Europe.
Took 4 copies of S&T. * 28.
Told Jim of Dave Levine's and Henry Schmeltzer's answers to F the SLEUTH problem, He'll give the prize to Henny Schmeltzer and let Dave pick up a copy of KURSK himself (duplicate prises)
His ORIGINS OF WORLD WAR II will be out by A.H by the time I come back from Europe. I'll pick up a copy and probably will include it in man. BOOK WORLD piece.
To Felicia. She had a copy of the game DISHABILLE for me but the target was missing left it there and she'llas get one for me. There is a target and suction dart gun.. Each player gets a pack of clothes cards. In turn shoot at target and haver auticle of clothing hit when your deck is gone you can start using your own clothes, Rough idea.) Ad Sheet put in 1971 ad clips folder Felicia spoke to Harvey Gardner. Due to some people leaving he is now one of the top men at Fawcett. He is quite confident that they will go with AGOG.
Felicia is still waiting for a visit from Jerry Green of
The Puzzle Factory to come and look at X-CHANGE-WORD. She still hasn't heard anything about SPELLBINDER. She mentioned it twice: The inventor of CHECKPOINT CHARLIE has a lot of other GAMEs he would like her to handle, she tried to discourage him but he still wants her. Due to a racing accident hev is permentently in a wheelchair but is doing Ok on things other than games. He invited Felicia to come visit him at his home and I am welcome too, Felicia would like to drive
there when I get back. We'll do it with BB too. His name is

Told Felicia that I had two excellent puzzles (RESTRUCTURE
-which was formerly RECONSTRUCTION and SKYSCRAPERS (see 8/12), Didn't come up with any thing specific to do with
them. Also told hen that LOTTERY was one of my best... Looked at the two games back from Mary Hilto AIRLINE was missing the Yules, the tops of the plastic boxes
and the board was not the one I sent but a wrap around which neither Felicia non I liked, I told her I'd send her the instructions, She called up IMPACT and someone, not Dan Ferrone or Jerry Dougherty, wanted to see AIRLINE.
