Rcd. a box of games from Gamecraft: TURN-TAC-TOE, [crossed out]
NIMBLE NUMBERS, TURN-A-WORD, and ROAMIN' NUMERALS.
While I was out in the morning, Frank Thibault called. He'll
call again tonight at 11:00. Has some questions.
To Bob Hallowell in Mt. Kisco with BB. Showed him
MANHATTAN MADNESS and he liked it very much. The only
question is whether he can produce it to sell at $5,
which is the level he'd like to be at. He is thinking of
cardboard boxes glued to wood cores, the problem being tol-
erences. He talked with Phil Orbanes and he said
the Bob Reiss had really liked it.
They are still looking for a name for Phil's item, which
is a surface something like the one shown in cross section
on which up to five balls are whirled. Possibly
the balls may be made luminescent. ORBIT is now
out and Bob likes ATOMSPHERE. The Reiss crowd
will kick it around. One suggestion from there was
VERTIGO but I told Bob Parker just came out with this.
[sketch of two concave wedges facing one another] or was it [sketch of two convex wedges facing one another] Bob took BB, me, and his
secretary for lunch in a
nice Chinese restaurant.
When we returned I showed him SPECTRUM. He said
no doubt it was a good game but he couldn't package it
to be eye-catching. He thinks I should show it to 3M.
Asked about a copy of NINE OF SWORDS. Right now they are
just keeping up with orders, but he gave me one he had
there. He said he intended to give me a couple dozen. I
said that the contract called for 12. He said to forget
about that.
In talking with Ann, she told me that Claude was sending
two sets of GENIUS BLOCKS to Frank Armbruster in the
next few days. Added this to my letter to Frank. [crossed out]

Arthur called. He'll be bringing POWUR to Felicia Tuesday.
He'll get copies of the rules tomorrow, including one
for me.
When with Bob Hallowell he mentioned that Gini Scott scurries around
from manufacturer to manufacturer and tells everything that
she knows about the others. He also thinks that she turns out
games too fast, not really finishing them. I agreed that she
could really come up with some good ones if she would work longer
on them.
Frank Thibault called again. He has been trying to sell CONTIGO
without success. He thinks there is something wrong with it but
can't put his finger on what it is. He asked if I'd be willing to
