Also while I was out { <u>Andrew Davis</u>, WO 2-1111    called. I'm to call back.
He is the lawyer for <u>Bob Riess</u>, <u>Bob Hallowell</u>, etc.
In the evening called <u>Phil Orbanes</u> to see if he knew what the
call was about. Probably something to do with <u>ORBIT</u> (see 5/30).
Called <u>Herb Siegel</u> to ask about changing our date from 6/18 to
6/25. Probably O.K. He'll be in New York tomorrow and will
call to confirm the date.
Played <u>SPACE STIX</u> with <u>Dale</u>. She beat me, and liked the game.
In my talk with <u>Phil Orbanes</u> I asked about <u>Bob Hallowell</u> and
his getting in touch with me on <u>MANHATTAN MADNESS</u>. Phil said
that Bob is all tied up with other things now and will get to me in
a few weeks.
At Poundridge Reservation the attendent told me about a
book that he said had a good amount of material on Indian

ing return of the rights.
I brought up the matter of what I owed because of re-
turns. He said I can probably forget about it.
I brought up the matter of the Book of Children's Puzzles. He said
that if I would still deal with them after the way they
treated me he would definitely like to discuss such a book.
I said that I'd rather deal with Pantheon than Random
House and that I'd be busy with other more immediately re-
munerative projects until the middle of the summer. Then
I will contact him.
Looked at Goren's <u>BRIDGE FOR TWO</u>. It had two dummies with 6
face down and 7 face up cards, the former being turned
up when the latter are played. This is a little like <u>OPEN BRIDGE</u>,
but it is a public domain idea in all the "Hoyles."
Looked at <u>PLAY AND DEFEND BRIDGE</u>. Simply a device for dealing
out set hands. <u>GEMINI BRIDGE</u> - dummies that are opened
by stages.
Called <u>Carl Eisenberg</u>. He will come here 6/28 in the evening.
Wrote letters to: <u>Gini Scott</u> (<u>NITTY GRITTY</u> solutions); <u>Frank Arm-
bruster</u> (<u>POTENTIAL</u>, <u>PSYCHE-PAINS</u>, etc.); NEO PRESS (<u>PSYCHE-PATHS</u>);
