Got the <u>TRANSFORMATION</u> letter typed and out.
Rcd. <u>ORION</u> from Parker.
<u>Claude</u> called. He has a variation of <u>LOA</u> for 2, 3, and
4 or 6 players in partnership which has more pieces
and more play value. He'd like to try it with Hallmark
again since they are hot on <u>DUEL</u>. He is thinking of changing
the name, but I warned him against trying to fool them.
I told him about <u>POTENTIAL</u> and the gimmick in the 4-hand
version. He thought of another idea for a similar type
gimmick. When a player reached a certain level he automati-
cally becomes partners with the lowest of the other 3 players
and the other two become partners.
He doesn't have a game for it now but, he said, if he gets one
he'll owe me 5%. We then decided that aside from
<u>EXECUTIVE DECISION</u> and <u>DEDUCTION</u> we would not give each
other cuts outside of a major contribution.
He is thinking of calling <u>CHICKEN CHOW MEIN</u> <u>THE GRANDFATHER GAME</u>
with the connotation that grandparents can enjoy playing with
their grandchildren & visa-versa.
Tried to get <u>Rudy Lopez</u> to tell him about <u>LIVE WIRE</u>. No answer
at his number. Someone else at number he gave me as his mother's.
Wrote to <u>Keith Tuggle</u> thanking him for correcting the rules
for <u>EXECUTIVE DECISION</u>.
Looked at my old files on <u>COMBINATION</u> variations for an
idea for a triangle game for <u>Frank Armbruster</u>. All my
variations are non-triangle.

doesn't have a set and I'll send him one, also information
on the inventors. (Neo Press - <u>MUDCRACK Y</u>.)
Told him about the rolling cube <u>GAME</u> idea. He'd like to see it.
Promised to send copies of my <u>''S&T''</u> columns.
Asked <u>Joyce</u> when we, including <u>Tom Atwater</u>, could get together
to talk. She said I should come to Concord and I said I would.
3M: Finally found <u>Bill Caruson</u> there. He was quite cordial and seemed
pleased with the way <u>EXECUTIVE DECISION</u> was going.
I mentioned something about foreign sales and he said that was
completely out of his hands. The ones in charge at the 3M Center
are "Mike Porcara" and "George Harper." (I'll write and send a copy
of <u>''DER SPIEGEL''</u> writeup.)
<u>EXECUTIVE DECISION</u> will be in the "Frederick Atkins" X-Mas catalog.
It covers 19 department stores and has 2,093,000 copies.
<u>BAZAAR</u> is now being considered for a new packaging. I men-
