Changed the numbers on the POTENTIAL pieces from 5 & 10 to
7 & 11 so that every time a piece is moved the exit potential changes.
Al Richter called. We'll go there next Thursday.
To Stationery Show. To M.B. They have a new series of
adult games in a small packaging. SUMMIT is the same, or sim-
ilar, to the copy I have. WORD WISE seems to be like
WORD SQUARES rather than the old M.B. game I have of that name.
GROUP is a large plastic crossword puzzle tha tfrom 2 to
4 solve at same time, using colored marking pens. Score
for letters in your color. PSYCH-OUT. (Will get more info from
Mickey Mackay.)
Met Claude and to U.S. Playing Card. Claude got four dozen decks
of "trading cards" plus 2 yesterday. I got two dozen and also
a 60 card deck for playing FIVE HUNDRED. Claude gave two sets
of BIG FUNERAL.
Franklin Merchandising Co: Got a copy of THE GREAT DOWNHILL SKI GAME.
They also had TENNIS ANYONE?, an action game with net and paddles.
Dynamic Enterprises: Ada Griscom told us that a line of cosmetics, Sta-
tionery, etc. was being created called ADA in her honor. They also would
be interested in a game of that name. Claude and I said we'd consider
working on it, but she should send us a letter listing the requirements.
Claude gave her BIG FUNERAL.
St. Croix: Got copies of THE WELFARE GAME and THE 9TH DIMENSION TAROT.
Claude gave a copy of BIG FUNERAL.
The Third Eye: Got a copy of BEAT THE DRAFT.
3M: Kreskin there. He said he loves SLEUTH and had worn out a
deck of cards playing it. Claude gave him BIG FUNERAL and he was
intrigued by it. Lou Zeller gave me a copy of SLEUTH and ACQUIRE
(doesn't have new cover artwork). Lou says that Bill Caruson was interes-
ted in some of the new games at the show. I said that if he wrote
me which ones I'd be glad to send him the information.
Marge Naramore: She had the Urban System games there but after this
she will not handle them, since they sell more thru toy stores. She
didn't have the ECOLOGY CARD GAME. There had been a lot of com-
plaints over errors in the SMOG rules and they have been rewritten.
A man at the booth showed me a game INCAZEC and gave me
a copy of the rules.
Reiss Sales: Bob Hallowell offered me a NINE OF SWORDS but I was
too loaded. Claude took one. Carl Eisenberg asked Claude if he also
was a game inventor. After Claude went home (tired from lack of
sleep) Carl noticed a CHINESE CHECKERS game in another booth. He
said he'd like something like it and I told him about Claude's LOA.
Carl said that Gini was a character. Her word GAME with the verti-
cle boards was attractive, but no game.
Dynamic Design:- Got a copy of SOCIETY TODAY (the thing ^THE SOCIETY GAME that was
sent to me by S.K. Howard was a small version used for advertising),
WINE CELLAR, BODY TALK (the one in the magazine was not complete;
THE CITIES GAME and THE BLACKS AND WHITES GAME was), and a catalog.
