Called <u>Fay Hertog</u>. She checked and the 25 copies are definitely
on their way, but they are quite slow. I should get them
in a week or two.
<u>Fabio</u> is back but he was busy when I called. I'll call after
Stationery Show.
<u>Phil Orbanes</u> called. He got the solutions for <u>34 SKIDOO</u> from the
original company (?). I told him that I already did them.
He said to bring them along and maybe they'll use two of each.
BB to Goethe House to reproduce the article in <u>''DER SPIEGEL''</u>.
The girl there, not <u>Miss Steiger</u>, said their machine was very
poor and loaned the magazine to BB. To Copy Shop and had
4 copies made. The article said that <u>ACQUIRE</u> was the
best of the 3M games but didn't have particular praise for
<u>BAZAAR</u>. Other non-3M games mentioned were:
<u>DAS BÖRSENSPIEL</u> (<u>BROKER</u>), <u>GELD UND BÖRSE</u>, <u>DAS MILLIONSPIEL</u>,
<u>WELTHANDEL</u>, <u>ÖL FÜR ALLE</u>, <u>PETROL</u>, <u>BIGBOSS</u>; also <u>MONOPOLY</u>.
Working on <u>''S&T''</u> column; wrote up <u>EXECUTIVE DECISION</u>.

(cont. from 5/8) [5/11]
At 23rd St. Bookstore bought <u>''MATHEMATICAL PUZZLES''</u> by <u>Geoffrey
Mott-Smith</u> (which Lech asked about) and <u>''MAGIC SQUARES AND CUBES''</u>
by W.S. Andrews. (Got 20% off list price.)
To Goethe House and finally found the article in the Feb. 22, 1971
issue of <u>''DER SPIEGEL''</u>. Too late to get repros, so <u>Miss Steiger</u>
put it aside for me to come in later in the week.
While looking saw two games advertised in the Dec. 7, 1970 issue.
<u>HALLO BOSS</u> - for 12 years up. A party game for enlivening the party.
<u>BIG BOSS</u> - for clever business men full of enterprise play.
The first sells for DM 19,80 and the second for DM 64,00. Both
are put out by:- IWA-Rechenschieberfarbrik, F. Riehle KG,
73 Esslingen, Küferstr. 13, (Germany).
Called <u>Jim Dunnigan</u> and told him of my plans for my <u>''S&T''</u>
column for #28; reviews of <u>EXECUTIVE DECISION</u> and
<u>SLEUTH</u>, with the Supersleuth problem. He offered a copy
of <u>KURSK</u> to the first to solve it.
Called <u>Claude</u> to tell him that the <u>DUEL</u> check came. Not in
and spoke to Anne. She, Claude, Raymond, and Richie
played <u>EXECUTIVE DECISION</u>. She thought it was more work
than fun, but the others liked it.
