SATURDAY 8 MAY
1971 128th day - 237 days to come
Rcd. a letter from Kathy Brooks. Jim Kraus has forwarded
PLANES to her for evaluation, but she doesn't have
a disclosure form for it. She sent me six copies of
the booklet.
Wrote a letter to Mary Hilt, with my corrections on
the TRANSFORMATION rules; my comments on the AIRLINE
packaging; and told her about MATCHED SET. Also told her
that we haven't rcd. checks for the signed contracts.
(cont. from 5/9) [5/11]
payments held up. She agreed.
She showed me WINDOWS, the game by the psychiatrist. There
are sets of cards with questions on different topics
draws one and then places a card face down indicating
whether he will answer with "truth" or deception. (Ques-
tions are about the player's belief about himself, the other
players, or controversial ideas.) He then answers the ques-
tion. The others, in turn place a chip bet, amount of their
choice on either their "truth" or "deception" cards. Then the
player turns up and either pays or collects.
As variations; each player can keep his card, but not the
number of chips secret from the succeeding players; in each
round the minimum bet increases.
Told Felicia about the letter from Kathy Brooks concerning PLANES.
Felicia said that Will Erickson had thought her completely
incompetent.
Gave Felicia LIVE WIRE-SUDDEN SHOCK. Told her what I had
done with it and that I thought that 50% was too much.
She thinks I deserve it. I'll call Rudy to tell him
what's happening.
Also gave her WILD WOOD PILE. She wrote to Hallmark a-
bout it and will wait for their answer before sending it.
Took back the old model of LIVE WIRE.
Felicia will be playing a game called BREAD tomorrow. She said it
wasn't a hippie game.
She showed me the game, NINTH PRECINCT. It is a dog; simply
moving around a multiple path board by dice throw of
dice and drawing cards to gain or lose "merit points" (or
something like that).
Signed the contracts for TOTALLY & TROMINO GO and got a $750
check. Looked at the "hold harmless" clause. It stated that
royalties could be withheld to fight a suit, but
not even that they surely would be.
I looked at the KA-MA board. It had loads of short groups of
words, in various classifications, all over the board.
Felicia finally rcd. word from 3M and sent TORTS-THE GAME OF LAWSUITS
back to them.
