1971 114th day - 251 days to come

----
Arthur called. He & Wald are going to give free lessons in char-
acter readings with the HIGH DECK. He thought that possibly BB
might be interested in coming, or some of her friends. I told him
that I'd check with BB and she'd call if she wanted to come.
He also said that they have revised FOLLY, and that he'll show
it to me when we get together.
Rcd. a cassette from Lech Pijanowski. (I'll have to get a
player so that I can listen to it.)
Rcd. THE LIB GAME from Gini Scott.
Wrote to Keith Tuggle, sending him a marked up set of rules for
EXECUTIVE DECISION. Asked him to let me know that he rcd. it,
also to eventually send me another set of the rules to replace the
one I sent him.
Wrote to Jim Kraus, thanking him for SLEUTH and telling him that I
was eagerly awaiting his reaction to PLANES.
Wrote to Tom Atwater. Thanked him for the 1st quarter check.
Told him that I also haven't rcd. a check for AIRLINE &
TRANSFORMATION. Sent comments on the following games:-
!@#C&*! GAME, TIC-TAC-TOTAL, Stewart Coffin's GAME, AZTEC,
SKULL ISLAND.
Wrote to V.I. Gunther sending her $2 for BUNCO.
Played my GAME idea of 4/18 with Phil Laurence. At first
played that when your move was guessed you lost twice the num-
ber, but you couldn't end up with less than 0 on a turn.
This made it too attractive to gamble for big scores at the be-
ginning of a turn. Then tried that you can get a minus
score on a turn, but cannot go below 0 in your cumulative. This
might work out, but I'll have to test it further. One possible
idea - if a player hits - a certain number of times, he loses.
Played MASTERPIECE. It is very attractive, but it is primarily
a question of the luck
