Arlan Tietel, of 3M's [illegible crossout] Duplicating Products Div. called.
Keith Tuggle told him about me, and loaned him AGOG.
They have a device which projects a picture (or can show it thru a viewer) and at the same time gives a spoken message of up to 25 seconds. The way it is set up you can start with any picture from position 1 to position 8 (I believe). After this you can go to one of 3 choices, but these may not be more than 7 positions away in either direction. Etc. You can only go from 50 to 51. Then you have similar freedom within the range of 51 to 100.
They were thinking of developing solitaire type games to be played with this device, possibly available for rental in hotel rooms. Arlan was playing around with a TIC-TAC-TOE game but COMPUTER TIC-TAC-TOE, the game played with the booklet.
I told him that I thought I could come up with some GAMEs. He asked whether I would want a fee. I said that I preferred a royalty and he said he thought that that could be arranged. They will kick the matter around for two weeks or so and then he'll get back to me. I told him that I'd be turning it over in my mind, but that I won't do any hard work on it before I hear from him.

Called Felicia to tell her about Arlan Tietel's call. (In his call he said that Keith had told him that I had an agent, but that he didn't know whether I would work thru her on this matter. I told Arlan that she gets her cut of any royalties I get. Also, with his permission, that I'd tell Felicia about his call.) // Told her I had no info on CANDIDATE.
Also told her that I located the game BEZANT. She'll check with the inventor whether I should get a set of repros of the rules.
She told me that Herb Roth informed her that "Senetor Muskie" bought 10,000 copies of WHO CAN BEAT NIXON?

Rcd. 8 copies of EXECUTIVE DECISION. Looking at the rules I saw that they had followed my request to have the more advanced rules added as a "variation". Then I discovered that they goofed, using "Market Price" where they should have used "Price Bid."
Called Keith Tuggle collect. Told him about the error and, after a minute or two, he saw my point. They can't do anything about the games that are out already, but he'll work on getting how rules as soon as he can. He asked me to put the er- rors in a letter to him.
Told Keith that I liked the art work and the over- all presentation. Had a nice conversation. He won't be coming to Stationery Show, probably only Lou Zeller. Their budget is tight.
