<u>Felicia</u> called BB twice.
Looks like Hallmark is taking <u>DUEL</u> and <u>TOTALLY--</u>.
Felicia wondered if I had the rules for a war game
done by a fellow <u>Herlihe</u> from her building. The name
is <u>BEGANT</u>. He did it in 1965 but can't find the rules
(I looked and couldn't find anything at all like it.)
<u>Mary Hilt</u> is accepting the games (<u>NOMINATION</u>, <u>CINEMA</u>,
<u>MARLBORO COUNTRY</u>, <u>DANGER STRAITS</u> - ??) and is working
on them. She will be in for the Premium Show - May 1
to May 3 (which disagrees with the dates Mary gave me).
Mary is very interested in <u>FOCUS</u>.
Hallmark is having a big meeting tomorrow to decide
what is in and what is out. Maybe I will have some games
back to sell elsewhere. They will probably emphasize
puzzles at first.
Hallmark will not give more than $250 as a closing
fee. Felicia had asked for $500.
Put black contact on back of <u>PLANES</u> pieces. Played with
BB, at first with the rule that the players had to
indicate which of their two symbols they could pick up, by
having one on top of the other, with the option of changing
at end of move. Decided it wasn't necessary and allowed
either to be emptied at any time. A tie cannot be picked
up, only a plane in which one of a player's symbols is in
the ascendency.
Found that the planes were too easy to spoil and changed
the rules so that a total of 10 counts 10 points.
Played well.
Called <u>Felicia</u> to get clarifications on his call to BB. Spoke
to her [about] Claude. She was supposed to call back but didn't.
<u>Wald</u> called from <u>Arthur'</u>s. BB and I will go there next
Friday. They'd like to play some of their revised <u>HIGH DECK</u>
games. Especially 4-hand <u>VEROQ</u>.

(cont. from 4/10) [4/10]
Got together four sets of beads and chips to send to Mary Hilt
for TRANSFORMATION. Have them ready except for painting
the small stones blue. BB said she would do it.
Played 4-hand <u>PLANES</u> with the <u>Fredericks</u>. BB & Jerry won a
close one. They both caught on well and liked it. Inciden-
tally, I have been allowing a plane of any number of tiles
to be taken at the end. It seems to work fine.
