Called Mickey Mackay to find out number of players for
STAY ALIVE. We'll get together for lunch after I
finish jury duty.
Date with BB, Claude, and Anne. Claude returned my
book SERIOUS GAMES. He bought a paperback copy.
Working on S&T column during day.

Claude told me that he saw a scholarly book on games
around the world at Arcadia Book Store. Didn't re-
member name, author or publisher.

They each have maps of the appropriate areas showing
cities. Cities are joined by lines of 3 different
colors, representing railroads, airplanes, and steamships.
Players get a number of city cards at the beginning. They
must visit all these cities and return to a starting point.
They may determine the order in which they do the visiting.
Movement is by throw of one die (I believe but on a turn
a player must make the move all on one means of trans-
portation. Player may move less than the die throw, in-
cluding no move at all. (Fairly complete rules.)
Felicia called. She had asked me if I could get
some info on the G. & R. games for her report. But she
went there and got a complete catalog with list prices,
etc.
The secretary said I had been in, and that I was crazy
about SOLAR BASES. (Where did she get that idea?)
Felicia said that she already sent off the four games to
Mary Hilt.
Sent a letter and the AIRLINE and TRANSFORMATION
contracts to Tom Atwater, after signing them.
