Rcd. a telephone call from Alfons Rubbens. He went to Pressman about their knock off of CUBE FUSION with DOUBLE DECKER. They wanted to settle on the spot but said that they didn't allow for paying him royalties in pricing the item. They offered him TRI-OMINOS in Canada instead. I told him the only original game they had was HI SPOT. He would need about ten games in Canada to com- pensate for one in the U.S. He'll talk to his lawyer before signing, as I advised.
His House of Games and Waddington are practically a single entity with him handling North America and they handling Europe. For the present U.S. Game Systems is handling their U.S. distribution but they also handle lines that are somewhat competative. E- venturally they will set up their own organization.
He and Greg Cuff, who is a big shot in Waddinton's (Alfons was pleased that I thought David Westnedge was in charge they want him to be the front man) will be in New York at the end of March or beginning of April. They will visit me then. They want to see the games I have. Also Alfons has a game system, called MIND MASTER (I believe) which he would like me to join him on working up.
When I said that I was short of finished games because 9 were tied up with an upcoming game manufacturer he said "Not another game manufacturer!"

Rcd. THE COLOR QUAD GAME, THE NIM-BALL QUAD GAME, and THE DECA-LOGIC GAME SYSTEM from John Geiger. Couldn't quite understand the latter.

Rcd. a clipping from 3/10/71 CHEMICAL WEEK with article on Toy Fair. From Jerry Frederick.

David Westnedge called about the name CAMPAIGN. Told him that Saalfield had done it and that campaign Game Co. had an [registered trademark] on it. Asked if he would like Paul Milazzo's home address. Yes. I'll try Claude and bring it to him tomorrow.
Called Claude. He gave me Paul's number. We discussed what I could do to help him and decided I would recommend WATCH to Westnedge.

In my talk with Rubbens I said that I had the old CUBE FUZION in the small box. There are a lot of variations in the new, but there are 12 pcs. instead of 13. He is making them in two color combinations, red with green and blue with yellow, so that with 2 sets four can play. He will send me a new set with the blue and yellow, since my set is the green & red.
