SUNDAY 21 FEBRUARY 1971

Quinquagesima 52nd day - 313 days to come

Gini Scott called. She doesn't have the use of a car so instead of her coming here I will meet her at the Pressman Office (Rm. 1172-200 5th Ave.) on Thursday at 4:30. She has one game OH FUDGE definitely coming out with Pressman and another CHECK POINT (see 8/20/70) possible, depending on whether a mail order catalog agrees to include it. (The mold costs are $25,000.) Because of these games and Pressman's interest in IDEAS (which Gini told about before) she is able to use the office.
I told her I saw WOMEN'S LIB in the Feb. PLAYTHINGS. She hasn't seen it yet and I'll bring it with me. John Hansen is now distributing her games again. She had been thinking of changing to the outfit that handles the PSYCHOLOGY TODAY games, but there will be a game on the subject of "Women's Lib" in the May (I believe) issue. Be- cause of this conflict she is back with Hansen. On the east coast she is with Gary & Riedel.

In Times paper back review section saw that Clark Abt's SERIOUS GAMES has been put out by The Viking Press for $1.95.

In my talk with Gini Scott, she asked if I knew the game RPM. Told her what I had seen of it and she was relieved. She has a word GAME using four upright stands similar to RSVP and was afraid RPM might be like it.
Called Arthur. Nothing specifically on games.

They are testing loads of games and are losing a lot of time be- cause, unlike mine, many of the games were untested before being submitted.

Felicia called again to find the result of my talk with Bob and was disappointed. She thought that they might have had cheapened the worth of my models by not asking for damages. (Especially the way I always worried whether a model had arrived.) Later she said it was probably worth while for good will. (She may have been trying to make me feel better.)
At the Gift Show the only thing of interest to me was the Urban System games at Marge Namamore's booth. ECOLOGY was there. Two others, POPULATION and a GAME on "Woman's Lib" were supposed to be there but
