FRIDAY 19 FEBRUARY 1971

50th day - 315 days to come

Went over my S&T supply to see which ones to pick up at the Skunk Works tonight.

[Sentence crossed out]

At S&R got the list price of OPINION - $4.00. Looked at RPM for a moment. Showed letters on turntables that rotated in 3 (I believe) rings. Didn't get any details. Stopped at G&R for a moment, but they were very busy preparing for Toy Fair. Told them I'd go to see them after Toy Fair.

To Carl Eisenberg to pick up MANHATTAN MADNESS. I was early & he was in conference. I'll call him Monday to get his findings on the problems of doing the manufacturing.
Met Phil Orbanes in lobby. Showed him MANHATTAN MADNESS & told him I'd contact Bob Hallowell next week, about bringing it for him to see.

Outside of the barbershop on 18th St. saw some decorator samples thrown out by a city planner. Took some wall finishing samples (put in equipment large holder).

At Arcadia bought a book, THE GAME OF CONTACT, not a game but a gag on Contract BRIDGE. Paid 45¢.
They had a somewhat wrinkled copy of AGOG for $4.50 and he was willing to reduce it to $4.00.
Looked at Strand Bookstore & Brentano's. Letter had HI-SPOT for $3 but I was too loaded to buy it.

Met Claude at Tad's. He got me 6 - 5"x5" pcs. of plexiglass for $1.75 on Canal St. Also a catalog from the store, of various plastic items. A piece about 6"x6" was left over after the cutting and Claude asked the price. The owner threw it in. Need 3 pcs. for PLANES.

To skunk works with Claude and the 20 yr. old son of a friend, Bob.
Gave Jim my column for S&T #26 and got a Press Card till 1/1/72.
Took the following copies of S&T to have on hand for Toy Fair:-
